Welcome to the Multi Age Classroom!

Hello! Happy 2017-2018 school year, and welcome back! My name is Lindsay Searles and I am beyond thrilled to be joining the Sag Harbor family. I feel incredibly honored to join Sag Harbor Elementary school as a special education teacher. I am truly looking forward to an amazing year filled with fun, learning and new adventures where I'll be providing our children with a consistent, organized, creative and loving atmosphere to learn in every day.
I have a background in art with my bachelor’s degree in art education and a master’s degree in special education. I’ve spent the past 8 years in various K-6 special education classrooms and working closely with students and their families providing ABA therapy in their homes for the past 4 years. This experience in particular has allowed me to bring a unique outlook and sensitivity to the classroom.
I grew up in Shoreham Wading River and enjoyed playing Pierson in field hockey throughout my school career. I currently live in Patchogue with my 2-year-old son, husband and Miniature Schnauzer Harley. When I’m not playing with or chasing after my son I enjoy running, skiing and spending time with my friends and family. I’ve run 4 half marathons and look forward to adding to my list. I am the youngest of three children and am very close to my family. I love reading and crafting and I am a HUGE fan of the NY Giants!
I can already tell that Sag Harbor is a really magical place and I feel really privileged to be able to continue my career here. I look forward to meeting everyone. Please pop in and say hello and come share some fun information about Sag Harbor, I’m so excited to explore the town!
Looking forward to an amazing school year with lots of fun and learning.
Happy Learning,
Lindsay Searles
